Q. I attended the Homeschool Retreat in Williamsburg last year. Will the 2012 Leadership Conference cover the same topics? Should I send someone else this year or attend again?
A. Although the November 16-17, 2012, Leadership Conference is located in the same beautiful Williamsburg setting, and we will have some of the same sharing opportunities we enjoyed last year, this conference has a very different focus. Doug Bartsch will share information from the Ministry Institute that will help leaders understand the important difference between “doing” the support group work and “leading” the support group. His presentation will also help leaders understand that team building–not working alone–is the biblical model, and he’ll tell you how to make it happen. Doug will share the value of drawing out the God-given talents and giftings of others. This important information could totally change the way your support group functions!
Don’t miss this opportunity! HEAV believes the information is so valuable that our own board members will be attending. We’ve extended registration to noon on Thursday, October 18. Please call the HEAV office immediately (804-278-9200) for information about our reserved room block at the Woodlands Hotel and Conference Center. Space is limited! We hope to see you there!
