The Home School Foundation (HSF), HSLDA’s charitable arm, is enrolling qualified families during October for their Military Fund. This fund helps military homeschool families purchase curriculum. Eligible families must have one or both parents on active duty, disabled military, retired, or in the reserves. See the website or contact HSF to see if you qualify. Donate via the same website if you are so led.
Postmark or receipt deadline is November 1, 2012. Cost: $10 entry fee for HSLDA members; $15 regular entry fee. Prizes range from $25 to $200 depending on place and age group. This year’s essay topics were inspired by the upcoming presidential election. See the website for essay topics by age group. Follow submission guidelines and set your students to writing!
