2.1 Free Family Research Council Webinar: “Save Me from College Debt” – Live September 27; Online Afterwards

Thursday, September 27, 2012, at noon. Free of charge; your editor assumes it will also be available for viewing at this website afterwards, as this has been the case in the past.

The Family Research Council is hosting a free webinar entitled, “Save Me from College Debt: Understanding and Avoiding the College Debt Tsunami.” College costs have risen 15% in just the past year! Parents–even grandparents–are mortgaging their homes. Students are reportedly doing unspeakable things to pay for college. Getting a job after college to repay loans seems less likely as well. Where do we go from here–both at the policy level and in our personal financial planning? Experts will address this.

The website says, “It’s no secret that rising tuition costs and enormous student loans threaten the family life and financial security for millions across the country. For that reason, Family Research Council (FRC) recently launched a website… to define the problem and help many avoid the pitfalls that come with college debt.” See item 3.10 for the link.
