I SO need this. I can’t afford convention this year and my husband is having doubts about homeschooling my twins this fall for K. I am hoping that I could take him to some of the sessions to reel him in.

Here is hoping I win the golden ticket! I feel like I have so much more to learn about home schooling. This organization has been a great source of information and encouragement. My prayer is that God will use me richly to help encourage many others to confidently walk in their calling to home school. Our children and our world needs more home school families.

My husband and I enjoy the convention! We leave feeling refreshed, as well as encouraged to move forward into another year of homeschooling our 3 youngest children. I am so thankful for the many volunteers who make this convention possible!

I have attended for three years! My only concern is that the convention falls the same weekend as the VA Special Olympics. I have a son with Down syndrome, and I would hate to choose between his success and a great convention!

I have been very pleased with HEAV. Whenever I meet someone who is new to home schooling I always ask them if they have looked at your sight. There is so much info for a beginning home schooler and that is wonderful! I have enjoyed the conventions for the last three years! Wonderful speakers and an opportunity to volunteer. That is one of my favorite parts.

I’ve never attended one of the conventions and I would love to!!! I need all the help I can get being a war widow, raising and homeschooling my kids. This is our first year and it’s been challenging but highly rewarding.

The convention is my daughters (8 and 7) an opportunity to learn new things and meet new friends. Last year, we decided to pull them from public schools and this is their special treat. Girls only weekend where I can receive much needed reinforcement and my girls meet new friends. Love it! Plz pick me!!

I love HEAV convention. I use it as time to vacation with my son. It is just us…sharing some really special time. He loves the children’s program, I love the USB and Exibit hall, but best of all is meeting all the people; talking to new people and getting new ideas. The classes are awesome and we leave exhausted but full of stories. Thanks HEAV for a wonderful time!!!!

didn’t get to join in last night, but read through everything – wish I’d been there. I’m on my third year homeschooling my 8-year-old third grade daughter while trying to keep our three-year-old precocious son occupied. It’s a circus. This coming convention will be our fourth. Usually by June I’m feeling ready to throw in the towel – but going to the convention renews me and gets me excited for the upcoming school year…and my daughter loves the childrens program.

I have been homeschooling for 7 years now, we have 3 children, and I would have never made it with out these HEAV conventions. They are such a blessing. The sessions are so encouraging and just give us a boost to go on. It’s also encouraging to see others that have been a success. May God Bless!!

Our family has been to other homeschool conventions…the HEAV convention is by far our favorite one! The spiritual focus and recharge we feel afterwards carries us through the rest of the year!
