Anne Miller started serving homeschool families as a support group and co-op leader in 1986. She has been president of the Home Educators Association of Virginia since 1995 and executive director since 2010. She also directed HEAV’s publications and marketing for 21 years and was executive editor of the Virginia Homeschool Manual. Anne serves on the advisory council for the National Alliance of Christian Home Education Leadership and has spoken at the national HSLDA and Alliance leadership conferences. In 2019, she received HSLDA’s Chris Klicka Award for her steadfast courage, dedication, and commitment to homeschooling here and around the world. Anne and her husband, Jeff, homeschooled their eight children, who have since become entrepreneurs, teachers, NASA rocket scientists, business owners, builders, and engineers. Anne and Jeff enjoy their 26 grandchildren while living “the HGTV dream” remodeling homes in Williamsburg.
